Deepak Chopra’s Tribute to Michael Jackson

I was struck by the poignancy of Deepak Chopra’s tribute to his friend and wanted to share it here.
“…when the shock subsides and a thousand public voices recount Michael’s brilliant, joyous, embattled, enigmatic, bizarre trajectory, I hope the word “joyous” is the one that will rise from the ashes and shine as he once did.”

Michael, Elvis, and the Fab Four

A comment from an online mourner…
“There are only three true Greats, musically – The Beatles, Elvis and Michael Jackson.”
My favorite MJ video is the concert video for Dirty Diana.  I’ve often said that seeing MJ in concert would be one the best shows on earth.
I agree with the anonymous author of the above statement. [...]

Solo-Domesticus: Channeling Martha Stewart

OK, I’m not sure if I’m getting in touch with my feminine side or what but…

I’m definitely feeling it’s time for some domestic improvements around the Beach Bungalow.
It’s hard to explain, but the last few weeks I’ve been considering all of the following improvements to our home.

Painting some accent walls [...]

Big Spoon v. Small Spoon

I’m a cereal lover.

The Adorable Couple – Ben & Crystal

Benjamin Getting Married
And yes, it does seem like only yesterday that I delivered my oldest son and held him in my arms while tears of joy fell onto his tiny face.
That I delivered Ben (the obstetrician didn’t show because she was delivering another baby across town) made his birth even more momentous that is was [...]

On the East Coast? Give a Child some ‘Fresh Air’

Have a great place for kids to play?
Too many kids in the inner cities across the country are trapped day in and day out by concrete jungles.
When I think about my own childhood, I know I took the outdoors and the woods across the street for granted.
Today, LE and I walk the beach almost daily. [...]
